The trip was uneventful. The cats were a bit upset during takeoff but slept through landing. The animal inspector was waiting at the airport exit for anyone bringing pets. I simply had to present my paperwork to her, and off we went. It was so easy and no quarantine. This morning, waking in our island paradise…priceless. The cats are already adapting, loving the fact they can bird watch from the balcony 😊. A few pics for you, a pano of from our balcony, and a few closer shots reflecting what the eye actually sees. Those panos make things appear so far away when in fact they’re much closer. The view is spectacular, we’ve got Cay Bay to the left and Simpson Bay lagoon to the right. Today, lots of running around to do but we will absolutely make time for a beach stop to slow down, breathe, and take this all in.

Lol! We adore both sides of the island but prefer living on the Dutch side for the convenience of the Friendship Treaty and electric is 110v. But we hang out on both sides pretty much equally.

‘So glad your trip was good and you are safely “at home.” Thanks for the photos, I feel so lonely for home now! I can’t quite figure out where you are from the photos, it is all familiar, must be out of “context” for me back here in NC. It is great that the kitties traveled well. Our little guy is a good traveler too. After all the build up with all the vet visits, approvals, forms and fees, the actual transport of the pet was quite simple (thank goodness). The good thing is the entire routine does not need to be repeated each trip–just the vet visits on each end to make sure things are still good. ENJOY your first day and days. I hope you do much better than we did beach wise—we were so busy, we only made a few beach trips and most were walking along the beach and maybe 4 or 5 sunsets. I long for the lounge chairs and a couple of lazy hours reading in the sun. Next visit for sure! HAVE FUN!
